On Saturday, July 19, 2025, Alpine Performance Labs’ athlete Jeff Colt claimed victory at the High Lonesome 100, winning the men’s race in a course-record time of 18:52:00.
Targeting a 19:30 finish, Jeff delivered a near-flawless race—executing with precision, resilience, and world-class preparation. His performance is a standout example of what dedicated training, smart strategy, and focus can achieve. We’re proud to support Jeff with strength training and nutrition as part of his performance team.
Some of the keys to Jeff’s success:
He and his coach, Corrine Malcolm, created a strategic race plan, anticipating particular sections to run with composure, identifying key aid stations/water access, and when to make his move.
He has dedicated years to honing his craft and this achievement was years in the making.
He integrated strength training 1-2x/wk in the last 15 months, starting with the basics and improving steadily over time.
He and Danny worked on a core and hip strengthening program to build back after a hamstring injury in the summer of 2024.
He went all-in on his nutrition preparation, performed extensive GI training and testing, sodium and sweat testing to inform a detailed, periodized race plan.
He has worked with his sports psychologist, running coach, and strength coach to identify life stressors and adjust training as needed to keep training load in step with life balance.
